In a world of mixed up priorities, it is so important to make frequent "trips" to the Word of God so that we can once again be reminded of the vital importance of allowing God first place in our lives.
When we study Matthew Chapter 6, we see that the Lord was talking about material needs which they had then, and we have now. Needs for things such as food and clothing, and of course there are other needs as well such as shelter and love, and more, yet the principle of Matthew 6 is to show that God is a providing God.

Sharing the Importance and Value of Attending a Local Church

I am sometimes asked a question which might go like this: "Why do you insist that I need to attend a local church when I get tremendous enjoyment in attending a different church often?"
We live in a day which offers the message of the Gospel to the Sinner, and inspiration to the Christian in a vast variety of ways such as the internet, radio, television, cd's, MP3 files, and on and on it goes!

We must learn that whatever we give up for the obedience and glory of God has tremendous potential to be turned into a miracle that will not only bring freedom and deliverance to us, but to others as well.
As Moses threw down the rod, it was almost like a throwing down of his past efforts, abilities, and works. Then, God began to work miracles, and in the picking of it back up, God was preparing Moses to see powerful miracles as now HE was the one in control!

We sin when we express anger wrongly, and especially when we hold on to it for dear life. We think it might be for dear life, but it’s something that will slowly eat away at our joy and peace if we allow it to simmer and turn into bitterness.
The Bible even tells us to “not let the sun go down on our wrath”. In other words, in our relationships we really care deeply about, it is important to settle matters either together or in our hearts before going to sleep at night.

| A Special Tribute to Mothers |
| The only way we can teach something is to know it first of all ourselves, as well as live it out in practice at every opportunity until it becomes not only what we do, but who we are. In other words, it becomes part of our character the more we do it. This applies to good things, as well as things that aren't traits we would like to have our children emulate.
Fearing, or honoring the Lord is often not something that simply comes naturally to a child, but they are taught this by mentors such as teachers, adults, and of course, parents.
